Late Bloomer - Sarah Harmer
I tried to be a wild child
It was better than a wallflower
But it didn t feel right
No, it didn t feel real
I d dip my toes in the water
Scared to step any farther
Feeling left behind
My mama would say to me
Hey late bloomer
You don t have to fly sooner
You can take your time before you take off
They may all fly by
You re gonna catch em when it s time
And know there s nothing wrong
You re just a little late bloomer that s all
And you might kiss a few boys
Before your heart makes the right choice
But love will come you will see
That life ain t a big race
And you might fall on your face
So if you re feeling left behind
Keep remembering
Hey late bloomer
You don t have to fly sooner
You can take your time before you take off
They may all fly by
You re gonna catch em when it s time
And know there s nothing wrong
You re just a little late bloomer that s all
Don t you grow up too fast
Gotta tryin even if you re last
You can walk you don t have to run
Hey late bloomer
Hey late bloomer
Take your time before you take off
They may all fly by
You re gonna pass em when it s time
And know there s nothing wrong
You re just a little late bloomer that s all
Hey late bloomer
Hey late bloomer
You re a little late bloomer that s all
