Two snakes from his shoulders, springing black through night.
And their shadows lengthen, sweeping past his eyes.
(Serpent of the dark storming cloud.)
Born a failed creation, outcast down below –
time his only witness – light the lunar torch!
Down where fate abandoned you in grief alone,
chained you are before the wall of mountain and of stone.
(Underneath Mount Damāvand -)
The Draconic vulcan – ashes black of life
shall erupt in triumph, covering the sky.
(tied to nails of a thousand years.)
End of days arriving – empty are his chains.
Horns of war are sounding – may he reign again!
Down where fate abandoned you in grief alone,
chained you are before the wall of mountain and of stone.
Hear (the call) – hear and rise once more!
