Pyramid

Owls of the Swamp

well, the desert showed me how to shield my eyes

and the forest taught me all she knew about disguise

the ocean showed me how to sleep in peace

the skies they opened up and taught me how to release

and we all get stuck before we start to grow

and when we do we need the sun, we need her glow

and we are young right now but someday we'll grow old

and what's warm right now will soon become so cold...

and it took a thousand years to build this wall

and it may take a thousand more for it to fall

then we will pick up all the pieces and start again

this time I think we'll build a pyramid instead

and I miss the way you listen to my chest

and the way you spin around the world and know how to rest

and I really like to have you by my side

you brought a part of me right back to life
