We were young, we were always on the run
From the streets grew up
Love for the big city and the sea side
We were young and in love
We took a train, right after sunset
Going anywhere and now I'm right back
Hey, I'm standing by the corner
The place we used to meet
Right there where I told you
You're running off with me
We dreamed about the water
Or sailing by the stream
I'm standing by the corner
Waiting for the summer
Waiting for the summer
(Oh, I'm waiting for the summer)
We were young, big dreams on our minds
Never knew where to start
Talked about the beach, making out on the concrete
We were young and in love
We took a train, right after sunset
Going anywhere and now I'm right back
Hey, I'm standing by the corner
The place we used to meet
Right there where I told you
You're running off with me
We dreamed about the water
Or sailing by the stream
I'm standing by the corner
Waiting for the summer
(Oh, we're waiting for the summer)
I'm waiting for the summer
Ooh, yeah I'm waiting
Waiting for the summer
I'm standing by the corner
The place we used to meet
Right there where I told you
You're running off with me
We dreamed about the water
Or sailing by the stream
I'm standing by the corner
Waiting for the summer
(Oh, we're waiting for the summer)
Waiting for the summer
