Hear it from across the room
Can’t believe its over
Suddenly too hard to move
But I’m dying to get closure
Holy spirit drifts away
With a new heart on its shoulders
Every image of you starts to fade
The hardest part is missing you
Not knowing if the missing you will soon be gone
The hardest part is loving you
And knowing that the hardest part for you is done
That’s the hardest part
Falling faster with each breath I take
Drowning deep in salty water
Holding tightly to each memory
There could never be another
But even with this pain I’m in
I know you had it much harder
I’m just not ready for this to begin
The hardest part is missing you
Not knowing if the missing you will soon be gone
The hardest part is loving you
And knowing that the hardest part for you is done
That’s the hardest part
