Flicking through the pictures fills your mind with doubt
It's enough to give anyone the fear of missing out
Everyone looks happy
Their lives have gone to plan
You're left feeling empty
Wanting what they have
If only you knew
They're just like you
The grass is always greener on the other side
Everyone's got something that they hide behind
Through a phone
You don't know
How it goes
When you only get a second of somebody's life
You can't see the storm that's going on inside
On a screen
It all seems
Like a dream
Life looks so much sweeter
But the grass is always greener
It's easier to judge harder to forget
When everybody's life is underneath your fingertips
What you think you're missing
Is really what you've got
There's no point in being somebody that you're not
I guess it's true
If only you knew
The grass is always greener on the other side
Everyone's got something that they hide behind
Through a phone
You don't know
How it goes
When you only get a second of somebody's life
You can't see the storm that's going on inside
On a screen
It all seems
Like a dream
Life looks so much sweeter
But the grass is always greener
When you're looking out
But you're where you need to be
You've got it all without a doubt
Life's not perfect
For anyone
So let yourself shine
And celebrate the way you are
Stay a dreamer
Cos the grass is always greener
The grass is always greener on the other side
Everyone's got something that they hide behind
Through a phone
You don't know
How it goes
When you only get a second of somebody's life
You can't see the storm that's going on inside
On a screen
It all seems
Like a dream
Life looks so much sweeter
But the grass is always greener
But the grass is always greener
But the grass is always greener
