Drifting on the Nandu river with temples all around
I could hear the people singing and dancing to the sound
A dream within a dream a storm rising on the wind
A stranger looked for shelter, a stranger took her in
Where there's love, borders melt away
Forever now, I'll remember the day
The rain fell on Haikou
The rain fell on Haikou
As we walked by the sea and by the sand
The rain fell on Haikou
The rain fell on Haikou
As you turned and took me by the hand
And said "I know where you're going, and I'll show you the way"
In a perfect world, on a perfect day
The rain fell on Haikou
You opened up a flower to let the sun escape
Suddenly it stopped raining, the clouds began to break
I saw it in your eyes, there was no need to explain
When you don't look for magic, you might find it in the rain
Where there's love, borders melt away
Forever now, I'll remember the day
The rain fell on Haikou
The rain fell on Haikou
As we walked by the sea and by the sand
The rain fell on Haikou
The rain fell on Haikou
As you turned and took me by the hand
And said "I know where you're going, and I'll show you the way"
In a perfect world, on a perfect day
The rain fell on Haikou
I know where you're going, and I'll show you the way
In a perfect world, on a perfect day
The rain fell on Haikou
